Behind this tour is none other than the Big Mountain Sound Solution CC together with the Ritja Career Fair. Next after Katima Mulilo is Rundu (Open Market) on the third followed by the Walvis Bay Kuisebmund Stadium on September 9 ending at the Okakarara Stadium on the 10th. The bash will feature local artist such as Gazza, Sally, Ben-Mutjangatjike, One Blood, Karabo and Wild Dogs.
One of the event organisers Shepherd Muhaindjumba, says the songbird unique brand of sound is ready to entertain her Namibian fans. “She was the best we can get for this bash because her performance is live and most of our artists perform backtrack, she will be the best ingredient,” excites Muhaindjumba. He adds that the main aim for the music bash is to raise fund for disadvantaged families.
During her visit last year Patricia said Namibia is her second home. “There is so much support from fans (here) and it means so much to me. Namibian people are so good to me and even the air is fresh,”
The young at heart Patricia who has been doing music for over 20 years also hopes to be scouting for young talents to sign up under her label but that does not mean the end to her music career. One of the local artists Karabo says she is looking forward to enlighten Patricia on the talent Namibia has. “Last year I impressed her with my performance but this year I am ready to show her how capable I am by performing some of my songs live,” delights Karabo.
She adds that Patricia has awakened her love for live music that she never thought of and has an inspired her new album. “You can see she is old but her voice say otherwise. Live performance keep shows live and when performing it one feel good about themselves and that is the only time we see musician real talent,” says Karabo. The entrance fee to all shows is N$200 and N$500 for a VIP ticket.
