In a bid to break the electricity supply gap, NetVend and Cenored on Tuesday signed an electricity agreement for the central regions.
The partnership will provide an efficient and convenient vending and revenue management solution that enables users anywhere to purchase prepaid tokens through the internet, cellphone or point of sale devices.
NetVend managing director Hans Hamukoto welcomed the partnership, saying it will make it easy for customers to procure electricity wherever they are but especially rural areas where accessing electricity is a huge challenge.
The solution is web-based which means all sales are real time and reporting can be done to the last second. The platform is capable of handling the entire sales and revenue stream from generation of tokens and management of purchases, right through to bank switching.
Through the community vendors, the system aims to create an opportunity for registered individuals or businesses to earn additional income while simultaneously increasing the vending footprint of supply authorities and convenience to customers.
The partnership is a technological mainly web-based solution that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
“Our technology allows any person to sit anywhere where they have internet or cellphone access to purchase a token and have it delivered directly to someone at their home via email or cellphone,” said Hamukoto.
