Members of the Namibian Police explosive unit yesterday detonated a 50mm mortar bomb that was found at the municipal dumpsite in Eros behind Paramount Hospital. The ordnance of Indian origin was discovered by workers who informed the police. Earlier the day police also found live heavy bullets behind Sam Nujoma Soccer Stadium. The 25 rounds that were in a leather pouch are believed to be used in the hunting of large animals such as elephant, rhino and hippo.
