An accident occurred on Thursday at around 17h30 on the Okahandja-Otjiwarongo road, about 33 kilometres from Okahandja, when the driver of a white Nissan Hardbody double cab 4X4 -lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the road and overturned.
The driver, David Tulonga Nampala, 44 and a passenger Andreas Natanga, 21 died on the scene.
Another passenger, Gloria Nakafingo, 22 sustained sight injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Their next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue, Detective Chief Inspector Naukalemo Andreas, the regional crime investigating coordinator for the Otjozondjupa region, confirmed to New Era on Thursday.
