Retired Namibian football supremo, John Muinjo, has been bestowed with the distinct honour of officiating as a guest speaker at the much-anticipated Botswana Football Association (BFA) General Assembly at the luxurious Grand Palm Hotel, Gaborone on the 1st of August.
Muinjo is currently the longest serving COSAFA Exco member, serving on various high-profile portfolios within COSAFA, CAF and the World football governing body, FIFA. Amongst the many portfolios he holds in international football, Muinjo is the current Chairman of the COSAFA Referees Committee, member of CAF Women’s Organising Committee and member of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup Organising Committee.
A former referee, Muinjo has served Namibia with distinction and rose to prominence when he was elected NFA Vice-President and subsequently earned the plum position of NFA President, succeeding incumbent Namibian Deputy Chief Justice and Judge President, the revered Petrus Damaseb.
