This year’s KIA mountain bike series continues on Saturday with the highly anticipated Ugab Terrace MTB Challenge near the northern town of Outjo, with a massive N$88 500 in prize money at stake.

The redesigned track will test the participants’ stamina over the grueling 40km and 70km races respectively, while there will also be a 15km fun class.

Unlike most MTB races in Namibia, the different routes of the Ugab Terrace Challenge will not take the cyclists over loops but one single track.

“Our aim was to add a little bit of everything to the track so that the race can be enjoyed by cyclists in all categories. We were able to achieve this,” one of the event organizers explained. More information is available on the official event website (http://www.ugabmtb.com).
