Bishop Henry Ndozi-Okio the senior pastor of Model Prayer Ministries (MPM) International together with various stakeholders on Monday handed two incubators to the Outapi District Hospital.

Each of the two incubators is worth N$152 000.

He said MPM is an interdenominational Christian-based organization registered under Section 21, and born with an unquenchable vision and mandate for spiritual, physical, mental and psychological empowerment.

The church ministry, he said, is also endowed with the heart of love to help and paint the nation of Namibia positively towards Vision 2030.

“This is a project that started when the ministry undertook the fact-finding mission to Outapi District Hospital maternity ward on 1 June last year to conduct an assessment of the current state of the health facility and determined the needs for MPM to render the necessary assistance required,” said the bishop. “We believe in the well-being of the Namibian nation and as such undertook this project in an attempt to make a significant contribution to the government of the Republic of Namibia’s Vision 2030 – to assist the health sector to ensure quality health service to the people,” he stated.

The Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services Juliet Kavetuna said she has only been in office for three months but has “identified one thing from the outset – that what is very important is reaching out to partners and appreciating every contribution that every Namibian citizen makes towards health provision.”

“I extend my gratitude to Model Prayer Ministries,” said Kavetuna.
