The third edition of the lucrative annual Bidvest Namibia Cup will be launched in Windhoek on Tuesday, 20 January 2015, with the grand finale set for 30 May 2015 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
Namibia Football Association (NFA) Secretary General Barry Rukoro said the “Bigger and Better” finals of the three-year deal between the sponsors and NFA starts with elimination rounds for the first and second divisions on the weekends of 09-10 and the 16-17 January 2015 in their respective regions.
“We are anticipating an increase in excitement and interest in the competition from what we had for the past two years. We are calling on all the clubs and regions to ensure that as a football family, we continue to lead in terms of entertaining our football loving people.
“This is a cup of dreams and we know that every club has an equal chance of making it to the final on 30 May. We are looking forward to it,” Rukoro stated.
The 2015 Bidvest Namibia Cup Competition Proper, featuring 32 clubs including the 16 Premier league outfits will be played on 30-31 January and on 01 February 2015, at venues yet to be announced.
The Round of 16 will be contested on 27-28 February and 01 March 2015, with the quarterfinals slated for the weekend of 27-29 March 2015.
The penultimate round, the semifinal, will be played on the weekend of 24-26 April 2015 with the final match, bringing the curtain down to the spectacle football season, to be contested on 30 May 2015.

Bidvest Namibia upped the stakes in the Bidvest Namibia Cup with various competitions including a “selfie” competition, which came along with prize money for five winners, while some 3 000 fans won gifts at the final.
These and more are to be part of the 2015 edition.
