WINDHOEK – Buoyed up by their mid-week narrow 1-0 triumph against old foes title chasing African Stars, team of the moment FNB Orlando Pirates are determined to follow on their impressive win against the table toppers when MTC Premiership activities resume this weekend.

Lucky Kakuva’s rejuvenated charges have two winnable matches in store when they travel far north to confront both United Stars and Julihno at the Rundu Sports field tomorrow and Sunday respectively.

In tomorrow’s other MTC Premiership action, still licking their wounds, early pace setters African Stars will face another mammoth task and could have their work cut short when the Reds visit traditional rivals Tigers at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.

Civics and Unam are to confront each other in a mid table clash at the Sam Nujoma Stadium tonight in a match that could go either way.

League strugglers Touch and Go host Eleven Arrows at the Otavi Stadium with basement dwellers Benfica at home to visiting LHU Blue Waters at the Oscar Norich stadium in Tsumeb.

League rookies Juluhno will be up against Mighty Gunners in the first of a double header at the Rundu Stadium. Rebels host Tura Magic in the curtain raiser for the Tigers/Stars clash of the titans at Sam Nujoma Stadium.

In midweek clashes, African Stars surrendered their perfect start to the 2014/2015 campaign when they were brought down to earth with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Orlando Pirates in an ill-fated match that saw Stars mentor Woody Jacobs and midfielder McBride Ndjavera receive their marching orders.

Black Africa could only manufacture a disappointing 2-all draw against the league’s giant killing new boys, Citizens.

Sunday’s fixtures read as follows:

Benfica vs Eleven Arrows Rundu
Touch & Go vs Blue Waters Otavi
United Stars vs Mighty Gunners Rundu
Julihno Sporting vs Orlando Pirates Rundu
Citizens vs Unam Sam Nujoma
Civics vs Black Africa Sam Nujoma
Tigers vs Tura Magic Sam Nujoma
Rebels vs African Stars Sam Nujoma
