WINDHOEK – The last edition of the popular Pro Tennis Academy (PTA) Tennis Series came to an end last Saturday in Windhoek, with the tournament organisers describing the event a resounding success.
Cody van Schalkwyk claimed top spot in the Advanced Category ahead of his brother Connor van Schalwyk, following his impressive unbeaten run throughout the series this year.
Connor claimed second position at Saturday’s tournament with Oliver Diggle rounding off the Advanced Category podium finish as well as the year’s overall ranking. In the Intermediate Category, Cleet Farmer finished ahead of Logino Goraseb, with Deonette Dirkse taking third place on the overall rankings after ending the series in a strong 4th position at Saturday’s tournament.
For Delicia Dirkse, a third place finish on Saturday was sufficient for her to secured overall victory in the Beginners Category ahead of Magano Sheeya and tournament winner Mike Kambonde.
