WINDHOEK – The Pro Tennis Academy (PTA) Tennis Series is cruising towards the end of the season with the 2nd last tourney of the season slated for this weekend at the Windhoek High School (WHS) tennis courts in the capital.

With only a couple of points left up for grabs, participants will have to up their game to accumulate as many points as possible if they are to take home the overall win come end of next month.

The pair of Delicia Dirkse and Mike Kambonde will continue their battle in the Beginners category, since nothing separated the two as they ended level on points to share the win.

Through consistency during the year, Dirkse is currently well ahead of Kambonde in the overall rankings. Other players who are more ready to upset the already established order are Faith Kahuure and Megano Sheya.

Spectators can look forward to the Mini category where there have been various winners throughout the season. Earlier this month, Van der Merwe Tromp raised some eyebrows with his first win of the season.

Unfazed by the unfamiliar territory, he edged out much fancied pair of Zeta Kaises and Jamilla Hungamo on his way to the top. Further exciting action is set to take place in the Intermediate category.
