The 26 housemates showcased their talents in a Hotshots talent show at the launch last Sunday evening.  Their performances revealed their talents and some other continental artists also got to showcase their own swagger. Keeping the musical theme going were Emmy Gee, AB Crazy & DJ Dimplez with their smash hit Rands and Nairas followed by South African Hip-Hop sensation Cassper Nyovest with Doc Shebeleza and Nigeria’s own BET Award winner, Davido, with the song Skelewu. At the Hotshots talent show, Laveda was chosen as the Head of the House after showcasing her mastery on the saxophone. She got the highest votes from the in-house audience garnering 85% of votes with a massive 7% more votes to her closest competition Sabina from Kenya.  Laveda was however rewarded by BBA with automatic immunity from eviction in the first week and becoming the first Head of House.

Housemates representing Namibia at BBA Hotshots such as Elioth Owosebo aka Permithias scored 68, 3 % after showed his impressive talent by performing a song titled my whole heart belongs to you. Although Permithias felt he had stage fright when performing, his appearance was well received. Luis Munana told a story about himself as being a champion and scored 58, 3 %.

On Monday, Hotshots was off to a melodious start as vocal coach, singer and songwriter; RJ Benjamin, was in the house to hone the housemates’ voices. Following this was their first task of the day in which the housemates had to run through a fire drill. This was to prepare them for a fire incidence in the house. The housemates performed well in this task.

The second task was after lunch when the housemates had to create a poster in which they were to brand and advertise their talents. As the housemates got busy with their afternoon task, the diary sessions began. All of the housemates told Biggies that they were happy about Laveda’s win as HoH and also expressed their wishes for Africa to vote for them. The day went slightly off key after supper when Biggie released the alcohol to the housemates. Apart from the laughter, games and noise that came from the housemates enjoying drinks, Permithias and Esther were set on preventing the housemates from sleeping. Whilst some retired early to bed, the two housemates became more rowdy and went so far as to rouse some of the sleeping housemates from sleeping. Esther kept the housemates awake with laughter whilst Permithias jumped on others to rouse them from sleep.

In their first week being in the house, the evictions will begin this Sunday. At most two of the 25 Housemates who are up for possible Eviction this week would leave the house this Sunday.
