Side chicks and Baby Mama Drama

Home Columns Side chicks and Baby Mama Drama

ON the real, people must chill with the words ‘Baby Mama Drama’, especially when there’s a side chick or just another girl. Firstly, I don’t think a lot of people understand when to use the three words Baby Mama Drama or whether they simply just use the expression because it sounds good or dramatic.

I understand Baby Mama Drama occurs when the guy is in a relationship with another girl who is not the Baby Mama (the new girlfriend) and she (Baby Mama) is constantly causing drama in the guy’s new relationship. The new girlfriend can surely use those words but many side chicks do not understand when to use the three bold words because in actual fact they (the side chick) is not in a relationship with the baby daddy, hence, the title ‘Side Chick’.
Let me break it down for you, a side chick is defined as a girl who tags along in the relationship of the actual girl. Side chicks are usually cool with their status as a slide-off due to the fact that they either have no shame or they’re blinded by love. But yet again don’t get me wrong, guys can be side chicks as well which could be equally, if not even more pathetic.
Getting back to the topic at hand, I’ve come across a lot of girls, ‘uhhmmm’ who honourably admit to being side chicks, and even have the audacity to call or throw tantrums at the woman who is in a relationship with the guy they having an affair with.
I think it’s only fair to use the concept ‘Baby Mama Drama’ when you are not a side chick, but with all honesty you do find side chicks going around complaining about the ‘Baby Mama’ causing ‘Drama’ while in actual fact she is the root of the drama. Baby Mama Drama would not be in existence if the side chick was not fooling around with the guy.
So if you are in the ‘Side Chick’ zone, those three words should not be in your vocabulary for obvious reasons (check paragraph one to five). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not ‘really’ judging because like the biblical saying, ‘he without sin cast the first stone’; nonetheless I can’t stand a trickster.
As to why men are attracted/or end up with the other woman or side chick is a topic for another day.
