REHOBOTH – The annual Bank Windhoek Namibian Bass Angling Association (NBAA) competition was held at the Oanob Dam this month, with Jurgen Geiger claiming the title with an impressive second day bag of 11.945 kg, followed by Alec Williams in second place.

The tourney started with a full practice day figuring out where anglers had a chance to pattern the dam while the 2nd day started with the captains meeting with over 25 boats present, making it one of the biggest national cometitions ever to be hosted in that neck of the woods.

Good fish were caught on day one with Thinus Williams catching the biggest bass of the competition weighing 3,646 kg. All anglers knew that day two on the Oanob Dam is normally very difficult as the dam does not take kindly to fishing pressure. In the end, it was a closely contested affair between Geiger and Williams, which saw the former taking the title after catching a bag of 11.945 kg.
