EENHANA –Eela Salami, a Grade 11 learner at the former Oshikunde Senior Secondary School which has now been renamed the Dr Abraham Iyambo Secondary School, is one of those learners extremely excited because they used to sleep in tents but now they have the best classrooms, hostels and a dining hall where they eat nice food.
“ I promise to deliver, deliver and deliver as advocated and championed by the late Dr Abraham Iyambo. I will try my best to study hard and of course l shall not disappoint the government by failing,” adds Salami. Monika Amutenya (Grade 11) who is also Miss Valentine of the school is happy that finally she can see the reality of Vision 2030. “Now that we have the best school in Ohangwena region, I promise to study hard since I would like to take Communication and Journalism studies as my career. We should thank our government for a job well done. As youth I would rather advise those coming here for their Grade 11 and 12 to raise Dr Abraham Iyambo’s name high,” she pleads.
