THE Novel Motor Company multi franchise dealership, was the big winner at the annual Bank Windhoek Selekt Sales Awards which took place in Windhoek recently, and saw the sales teams walk off with four major awards.

Its salesperson, Jurgen Dilg was crowned the Salesman of the Year in the New Vehicle category, while Pieter Smit, also of Novel Motor Company, clinched the silver award. This the second consecutive year that Dilg has won the gold award.

Novel Motor Company also won the bronze awards for Dealer of the Year in the New Vehicle category as well as in the Used Vehicle category.

Pupkewitz Toyota was named the Dealer of the Year in the New Vehicle category, while Autohaus Windhoek was the winner in the Used Vehicle category. Gerhard de Koe of Zeda Car Sales won the gold award for Best Salesman in the Used Car category.

The Selekt Sales Awards aim to recognise the dealerships and sales staff in the automotive industry for their commitment, loyalty and support to Bank Windhoek and its clients. And by awarding the new and used motor vehicle industry for sales achieved this past year, gives recognition to the support the industry has paid the bank’s vehicle finance.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Chris Matthee, Executive Officer: Retail Banking Services said that, through the loyal support of vehicle dealers, Bank Windhoek cemented its position as a major role player in the vehicle and asset finance industry in Namibia.

“The annual Bank Windhoek and Republikein Motor Show was this year once again a huge success. And the business we received from you, as dealers, at the Motor Show this year, increased substantially. Bank Windhoek’s Vehicle and Asset Financing division continued to be a significant contributor to the growth in our loans and advances to customers. It is particularly pleasing to note that the loan loss rate this year once again decreased. This simply means that Bank Windhoek is a responsible lender and that our clients honour their commitments to the Bank.”
