Gazza goes live

Home Time Out Gazza goes live

WINDHOEK-There is nothing beautiful then seeing one of the Namibian top artist Lazarus Shiimi aka Gazza doing his moves on stage.

Last Friday at Catholic Roman Hall in the capital Gazza left multitudes of revellers craving for more when he tried to blend his new style of back-track performances with live band, when he featured at the Mr and Miss International University of Management (IUM). Before boredom got the better of guests as they awaited the crowning, Gazza jumped onto the stage performed first his old song Passop while trying to calm everybody with his slow motion repretoire before warming up the show with his second song Tufike Apa.

Guests were taken on a real treat when he preformed his new song Chaka, from his new album.   The last song Gazza performed was Shuna featuring Uhuru. He first performed  this song via back-track while preparing his live band. He then asked the Dj to stop the back-track song and calling his back-up singers to assist him on stage with the instruments. This was the best part of the show as a live performance gives one the feeling of dancing nonstop. “We want more…we love Gazza” was the instant reaction from the house compelling the MC have to call it to order for the crowning to continue.

Other artists who performed were Marco who kicked of the show and Oteya who did her best especially with the songs, Ethimbo and Simon.
