The money came from the shareholders of the fishing company – the Harris family – who are the children of the first mayor of Lüderitz, the late Susan Harris, and war veterans Elly Shiyagaya Ihalu and Selma Ndempa Iipinge. Handing over this donation, Amupewa said the money is meant to help with the Swapo Party election campaign of 2014.
