WINDHOEK- Exotic Belly dancers Sasha Olivier-Sampson (Moon Goddess Dance Studio) and Minka Greeff (Bohemian Magic Studio) shimmied their way to collecting a generous N30 000 during the ‘Shimmy for Shelter ‘ SPCA fund raising show, held in Windhoek and Swakopmund to coincide with the World Belly Dancing day in May.
This is the fifth consecutive year these beautiful and talented animal lovers have raised funds for the SPCA, and in addition to handing over blankets for the cats and dogs, they gave a N$20 000 cash donation last Friday to Brigitte Meissner, the newly appointed General Manager of the Windhoek SPCA, and Joseph Naimhwaka (SPCA Driver/ Cruelty Inspector) who were joined by two resident strays up for adoption. A further donation of N$10 000 was shared between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay SPCA shelters.
