WINDHOEK – The Regional Health Director of the Omaheke region will hold the African Vaccination Week (AVW) immunization campaign from May 19 – 23 in all constituencies of Omaheke. The following immunizations will be done: children up to 5 years will be immunized against measels, all pregnant women and women between 14 and 19 years will be immunized against Tetanus, children from 6 – 59 months will get Vitamin A supplements, de-worming will done for children from 5 years and further health councelling. The theme is “Alternative Energy” and speakers are Mr Harald Schütt of Amusha, Mr Nico Nieman of Erongo Red, Mr Gero Bayorat of DIS Engineering and Mr Reimo Bauer of Cenored and Alensy will give a Power Point presentation. Koës FA is hosting its annual sports day on May 31 at the Koës FA grounds. The Simmentaler/Simbra breeders are holding a farmers day on June 3 at 09:00 at Farm Ouparakane of Mr Martin Harms in the Hochfeld vicinity. Communal, emerging and commercial farmers are welcome.
