Recently my husband and I visited the Etosha Wildlife Resort, spending four nights in the different camps. On June 22nd, whilst staying at Halali Camp, the fan belt of the hired car we were driving, snapped. The Manager of that camp, Mr William Thompson, learned of our predicament and came to our assistance. He went out of his way to organize an extra night’s accommodation as we were due to move on, but we were stranded. He made numerous phone calls on our behalf in an attempt to solve our problem as a spare fan belt was not obtainable in Tsumeb or surrounds. He eventually managed to organize with the car-hiring firm in Windhoek to send us another car. Both he and his wife were concerned and caring about our comfort in the accommodation. They were most concerned about the additional expenses which we were incurring. We have travelled to many countries, visited most game parks and undertaken several ocean cruises over the past 50 years and NEVER EVER have we received such genuine caring attention – way, way far beyond the realms of any duties. If this is the calibre of the people you are now employing, your organization can only move forward. Congratulations and good luck in your new position. Thank you for a most enjoyable trip and thank your Mr and Mrs Thompson. Annette Angel Illovo, Gauteng
