By Ernst Herma Namib Stars Late Night Chill brings you Fu’ Jazz at the Warehouse Theatre. Fu’ Jazz is an initiative by the Warehouse Theatre to bring jazz to the people and to provide for a place to ‘hang out’ on Sunday evenings in Windhoek. Fu’ Jazz will run as a pilot project on Sundays as part of the Bank Windhoek Arts Festival and promises to be a jazzy experience not to be missed. The band bringing you Fu ‘Jazz this Sunday is called Thayo’s Groove and comprises popular Namibian musical ‘gurus’ – Thayo on bass, Mbwayakalelo Wahengo on guitar, Dennis Eiseb on keyboard and Salex on drums. In line with the culture and spirit of jazz, guest artists are always expected and welcome, and resulting jam sessions sometimes are the cherry on the cake. Many jazz musicians in Namibia have searched for a platform on which to discover other musicians with similar objective and this will be an opportunity for jazz musicians and jazz lovers to meet. In the near future, Fu’ Jazz is looking towards inviting international jazz musos, in particular from down south as well. So if you have always wondered what to do with yourself or with that special someone on a Sunday evening, come to the Warehouse this Sunday, sit back and jazz your night away! Doors open at 19h00 and the show kicks off at 19h30. Advance tickets are available at the NTN Box Office or at the Warehouse Theatre for N35 and cost N$45 at the door.
