By Hoandi Gaeb MARIENTAL Hardap Region’s first citizen tied the knot on Saturday. Governor Katrina ‘Mutti’ Hanse entered into marriage with well-known businessman and farmer, Ghenno Himarwa, at Mariental. Himarwa, a well-known public figure, has among others established himself as a goat stud breeder of repute. He’s also served as the vice-president of the Windhoek Show Society and currently serves as director of that organisation. He was the first black farmer to serve on the Windhoek Show Society as an executive member. He also served as National Sales Manager of the Insurance Giant, Metropolitan Life, for some 20 years. The Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Marlene Mungunda, who graced the occasion congratulated the couple on behalf of President Hifikepunye Pohamba and Cabinet. Former Deputy Prime Minister and Vice-President of Swapo, Hendrik Witbooi, also attended the wedding.
