By Frederick Philander WINDHOEK The Museums Association of Namibia has announced that the deadline for submissions for its Heritage Hunt School Competition has been extended to Friday 1 June. “The competition requires learners to submit short essays suggesting a place that they feel should be recognized as a heritage site. The site should not already have been recognized as a national monument as the competition is seeking to identify new sites,” a statement from the association said. The competition had been extended at the request of schools wanting to provide learners the opportunity to research and write their essays during the coming school holidays. The award ceremony is planned for 25 June. For more information Helvi Elgao may be contacted at 0812865248. Entries must be submitted to the Museums Association of Namibia at Box 147, Windhoek.
