FNB’s plans to open an additional branch in the Kuisebmond residential area of Walvis Bay are progressing well.

Tienie Mouton, the FNB area manager for the coast announced that planning is on track for the new branch in Kuisebmond.

The opening of the branch in Kuisebmond signifies FNB’s commitment and support to the government’s policy of decentralization as contained in Vision 2030 and NDP4, which is aimed to bring services closer to the people. It is also aligned with FNB’s strategy to increase financial inclusion as requested by the Ministry of Finance.

The opening of the branch furthermore emphasized the confidence of FNB in Namibia’s economic future and the Kuisebmond community in particular.

Mouton mentioned that they have concluded arrangements for the new premises, architectural drawings are finalized and that the tendering process has been completed.

“What will happen next is the appointment of the successful contractor in order for the outfitting of the premises to start soonest.

Additionally, the recruitment for personnel is in progress and the branch will boast a staff complement of eleven staff who will serve customers with all banking needs.”

Mouton stressed that FNB values its clients and urged that the Kuisebmond community bear with FNB whilst the setting up of the new branch takes place.

He is confident that the customer experience at the new branch will exceed expectations.
