Academia recognises top achievers

Home Youth Corner Academia recognises top achievers

WINDHOEK

Academia Secondary School recently awarded learners for exceptional achievements in academics, sport, and culture, and various aspects of leadership.

The new learners’ representative council (LRC) was also announced at this
auspicious occasion.

Special bursaries were awarded to Damian Adams for the best progress between the April and August examinations and Baggio Karigub was recognized as the most versatile learner.

Shivaun Gwarada was crowned as the dux learner for 2015. Prizes were also awarded for achievements in athletics, hockey, various cultural activities, community service and duty, as well as for outstanding academic achievement.
The Top 10 Grade 12 learners received monetary awards donated by various sponsors. The Top 10 academic achievers are, counting from number 1 to 10: Shivaun Gwarada, Arvashni Gorases, Saima Iipinge, Ethan Constable,
Rauna Shilongo, Hilma Haufiku, Dorothea Thomas, Karizembua Muheua,
Petrina Wilbard and Maria Niimbala.

The event was a huge success, courtesy of generous sponsorships from Bank Windhoek, Standard Bank, Karnic Distributors, Van Niekerk Insurers, Masaca, Deloitte & Touche, Waltons Stationery, Boma Electrical and Zebra Publishers.
