WINDHOEK –Oswin Fillipus, accused of impersonating a police officer and fraud involving N$480 000, fainted at the Windhoek Police Station cells on Monday and had to be taken to the hospital.
As a result, his crony and co-accused Shaldo Brinkmann had to stand alone in the dock, when the matter was heard in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court.
The two allegedly attempted to sell a vehicle that did not belong to them with falsified documents.
Brinkmann informed the court that he would engage the services of a private lawyer.
The matter was remanded to July 31 for further investigations. The state was represented by Nasilele Siyambango who objected to the accused being granted bail for fear that he may interfere with ongoing investigations.
Both accused were denied bail and remain in custody.
Magistrate Justine Asino presided.
