African Stars recruits new players

Home Sports African Stars recruits new players

WINDHOEK – News flirting out of Diaz House is that African Stars has captured the signatures of Tigers over lapping volatile defender, Treasurer Kauapirura, Orlando Pirates quicksilver goal poacher, Tinkler Kahua and Eleven Arrows’ utility defender Mujeje Kaujende.

The trio is reportedly training with Stars as the country’s best supported football entity seeks to topple reigning Namibian champions Black Africa from the pedestal after the latter has won a historic four back-to-back MTC Premiership titles.

Upcoming midfielder, McBride Ndjavera, is also back in training after his much trumpeted transfer PSL campaigners Bidvest Wits fell through with Gavin Hunt’s team pulling out of the deal after Stars’ apparent high demand for the youngster’s transfer fee.

The dreadlocked midfielder also impressed during trials at Ga-Rankuwa United and Milano FC, but the South African second tier outfit was also put off by Stars’ asking prize of N$35 000 per month as compensation to allow the player go on loan for the 2014/2015 season.

Ndjavera is tangled in a pay dispute with his parent club Black Africa over outstanding salaries and bonus after he signed a pre-contract with Stars where he was on loan during the second round, last season.

The youngster failed to inform management of the Gemengde based outfit about his intention not to return, besides the fact that the undisputed Namibian champions (BA) had first option to re-sign him upon expiry of his contract.
