Windhoek
Travelling is a pleasure, or it should be, even on business trips and in the busiest of seasons. One of the frustrations often lies in foreign exchange – which currency to select, how much cash to carry.
Locally, Windhoek and Swakopmund boast a high influx of international visitors, which is where Nedbank reintroduced its new and improved Bureau de Change offering: a convenient and competitive exchange service. Nedbank also happens to be the only commercial bank to offer foreign exchange services after hours.
Executive for retail and business banking Bertus Matthee says: “Nedbank Namibia has re-introduced the Bureau de Change services at both Swakopmund and Independence (Windhoek) branches to accommodate our multinational clients. Nedbank will be the only bank offering these services to clients after hours at the following times: Mondays to Fridays from 09h30 to 18h00 and Saturdays from 08h00 to 15h00. We are conveniently located in both CBD’s. The Bureau de Change have separate counters at the individual branches for customers to transact.”
Like any other foreign exchange hub, Nedbank Namibia will trade with all the major foreign currencies and daily exchange rates will be available at the Bureau de Changes or alternatively from the Nedbank Treasury Department. Additionally, businesses that trade internationally are likely to be exposed to foreign exchange risk arising from volatility in the currency markets.
Nedbank boasts a team of foreign exchange specialists who can provide all the practical support and discerning advice to make managing currency risk simple and cost-effective.
