Ottilie Kaunapawa Aimwata and Enock Haufiku emerged the winners of the grueling Vivo Energy Windhoek Marathon female and male categories, respectively.

Aimwata completed the 42.2 km race in a remarkable record time of 02:59:04, while Haufiku ran the marathon in 02:48:00.

Alina Armas and Beata Naigambo took second and third place, respectively, in the female category, while Thatayaone Kelapile and Tengeni Sakaria came in second and third in the male category.

Participants were also awarded in various categories across age and experience, including junior, veteran, master, senior, wheelchair, and visually- impaired.

The third edition of the Windhoek Marathon took place at Vegkop Stadium at Windhoek High School with about 4 200 runners taking part.
