Antila, Namibia Oil and Gas in local content marriage

Antila, Namibia Oil and Gas in local content marriage

Antila Oil and Gas, the organisers of the Namibia Local Content Conference and Exhibition 2025, has announced a three-year partnership with Namibia Oil and Gas, the Namibian news and information resource hub that focuses on the oil, gas, and energy sector. Namibia Oil and Gas will serve as the official news and media partner for the highly anticipated conference scheduled from 17 to 19 June 2025 at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund.

The Namibia Local Content Conference and Exhibition 2025, convened by the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), and Antila Oil and Gas (AO&G), which centres on the theme; ‘Aligning Namibia’s Energy Ambitions: A Synergised Approach to Local Content’, provides a dynamic platform for dialogue and collaboration for government representatives, industry leaders, local businesses, investors, and civil society. The aim is to explore meaningful ways to embed local participation, skills development, and inclusive growth within Namibia’s rapidly evolving oil and gas sector.

“The Namibia Oil and Gas team is excited and privileged to be the main media partner of the event, promising in-depth coverage across their main digital news site. The news site will share the content of the conference as it happens on their social media pages and podcast channel, which is followed by thousands of subscribers. Furthermore, the team will also act as a press office, ensuring widespread dissemination of key messages and outcomes,” read a media statement.

The Namibian Local Conference and Exhibition plays a crucial role in driving Namibia’s energy sector forward. Conference organisers noted the occasion is  more than just an annual event, as the space allows key players to unpack the latest developments in oil, gas, and renewables while also addressing local content, skills development, and energy access. What makes it stand out is its strong focus on empowering Namibians within the sector, ensuring that local businesses and talent are part of the conversation and benefit from the country’s growing energy opportunities. From showcasing projects in the pipeline to creating space for small and medium enterprises to connect with major operators, the conference bridges gaps between policy and practice. For Namibia, which is steadily rising as an energy hub in Africa, this kind of local engagement is not just helpful, it’s necessary for building a resilient and inclusive energy future.

As a strategic media hub, Namibia Oil and Gas plays a vital role in advancing Namibia’s socio-economic development. The platform creates access to industry knowledge by offering articles, interviews, and podcasts that simplify and explain the energy sector, making it more approachable for the public, students, and small enterprises aiming to participate.

It promotes local content and opportunities by showcasing procurement openings, job creation, and training initiatives, in turn supporting local enterprise growth and employment.

By amplifying Namibian perspectives, especially those of community leaders, young professionals, and women, the hub empowers and encourages inclusive participation in the national energy dialogue.

Additionally, it fosters transparency and awareness through reporting on regulatory frameworks, environmental impacts, and project timelines, promoting accountability and informed discourse. Serving as a bridge between investors, policymakers, and citizens, Namibia Oil and Gas also facilitates stakeholder engagement that is essential for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Maria Mbudhi, the Founder and CEO of Antila Oil and Gas, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, “This partnership with Namibia Oil and Gas marks a vital step in advancing transparent, inclusive dialogue around Namibia’s oil, gas, and energy trajectory. With a media partner deeply embedded in the sector and committed to amplifying local perspectives, we look forward to shaping an informed and opportunity-driven energy future for Namibia.”

Teneal Goagoses, Content Manager at Namibia Oil and Gas, shared her perspective on the collaboration: “We are honoured to support this important event. The Namibia Local Content Conference aligns with our mission to inform, connect, and empower stakeholders across the oil and gas value chain.

We look forward to providing insightful coverage that reflects the voices and ambitions of the Namibian people.”
