April: We deserved it…as Right Way defeat V-Power

A player from Right Way expressed her team’s satisfaction with their performance in the recent match against V-Power in the FNB Women Super League on Saturday.

Despite struggling in the league, Veronica April said Right Way surprised everyone by beating V-Power 2-1 to secure maximum points. April, who scored the winning goal, praised her team for fighting hard to achieve the victory. According to her, winning the game justified all the hard work they put in.

“It was a tough match against V-Power, and they played a very tactical game which gave us more work to do on the field. However, we played well, and we deserved the win,” said April.

On the other hand, V-Power’s striker Deborah Vries expressed her disappointment at her team’s performance, saying that they should have done better. She acknowledged that they had missed opportunities to score but remained optimistic that they could bounce back in their next match.

“I feel bad that we lost to Right Way, a struggling team in the league, but that’s part of the game. We missed some chances, so we need to focus on our next game and do better,” said Vries.

In other matches that took place over the weekend, Khomas Nampol defeated Omaheke Queens 8-0, Unam Bokkies secured a 2-1 victory against Girls and Goals, Ongwediva Queens beat Beauties 1-0, Tura Magic thrashed NUST Babes 10-0, and Ramblers defeated Okahandja FC 2-1.
