Lüderitz

Bright Star Montesory School from Lüderitz recently hosted the NASP competition accompanied by a magnificent sea view as 26 NASP archers knuckled down to action.

Participants competed for high scores as they sought to represent Namibia at upcoming competitions. The top ranked archers carved themselves places at the All Stars Africa Championship in Cape Town later this year. When one little point can be the difference between winning and losing, the elimination rounds produced some nail-biting moments, with sisters and brothers competing against each other for a spot in the final round. All the boys in the senior division were from the Brightstar Montesory School while all the girls that won top honours came from Berg-op Okahandja. Petrus and Chrisjan were the only learners from Koës Learners Centre, while the rest of the juniors were all from Brightstar Montesory School.

The event proved a huge success with parents, spectators and participants all enjoying what the competition had on offer.
