WINDHOEK– Yaziza Entertainment along with NawaZone are hosting a BeAFan show to raise funds for the Special Olympics Namibia (SON) tomorrow at the Zoo Park.
SON is a non-governmental organisation working with adults and children with intellectual disabilities. They provide year-round sports training and athletic competition to these individuals. “We are striving to do away with the stigma and stereotyping against this minority population as well as raise funds for the programme,” says SON Ambassador, Sunday ‘Sunny Boy’ Shipushu. SON has been running a number of awareness campaigns throughout the year to educate the nation about people living with intellectual disabilities. “This is one show not to be missed and do take note that it is for a good cause as SON works with people with intellectual disability,” Sunny Boy adds.
The show will be graced by artists from all walks of life such as Sunny Boy, Jericho, Mushe, Adora, Mr Makoya, Kamasutra, Chipolopolo, Tulisan, 061 Crew, Lil D, KK, Morgan, Samuele, Ompuff, Kavax and Promise. There will also be a dancing battle among different high schools. The event starts at three O’clock (15H00) in the afternoon and tickets are available for N$30 at any Shoprite, Checkers or Computicket Office.
