WINDHOEK – FNB Wanderers Netball Club is to host a netball coaching clinic, under the stewardship of Lisa Alexander, head coach of the Australian netball team.
The four-day coaching clinic commences on the 30th of next month at the Wanderers Indoor Netball Courts, Wanderers Club in Pionierspark, Windhoek.
Sunette Burden, head coach of Wanderers Netball Club and the brains behind the planned course used the international contacts she built coaching the national team to acquire the services of the Australian mentor.
Australian sport has a reputation of producing professional, driven, innovative, successful coaches and Alexander is no exception to that tradition. Developing a high-performance culture around the Australian Diamonds is what drives Alexander and the approach is seen as the cornerstone of her coaching career.
Succeeding Norma Plumber in 2011, Alexander stepped into the role with the sole mandate to claim a gold medal at the prestigious Commonwealth Games and World Champions in 2014 and 2015.
Alexander will present and touch on numerous sport-specific topics combining her expertise in coaching, teaching/lecturing, small business ownership and the ultimate life journey for excellence.
She also has a keen interest and unrivaled wide knowledge of sport in general and can add a unique perspective to any corporate or media events.
