The Swapo politburo has resolved to remove trial-awaiting former Cabinet ministers Bernhard Esau and Sacky Shanghala from its top decision-making structures. 

Namibia will move to lift the ban on the movement of cattle if no further cases of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) are detected until 20 April this year.

Despite being invited in writing for a second time to attend a meeting to nominate and elect members of the //Kharas Regional Council management committee, three Swapo councillors opted to remain absent, in the process waving their democratic right for nomination.
