Nafinu blast Nedbank as ‘worst employer’

The Namibia Financial Institutions Union (Nafinu), the largest trade union representing workers in the local financial sector, has come out guns blazing against Nedbank Namibia, accusing the bank of being the worst employer in the sector and not respecting local labour laws.

Sacu businesses to benefit from lower trade costs

Accredited traders in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa will benefit from lower trade costs and quicker turn-around times for imports and exports, because of a Mutual Recognition Arrangement signed this week by the five member states of the Southern African Customs Union (Sacu).
