Residents of Rosh Pinah are counting the economic loss following last week’s closure of the Rosh Pinah-Aussenkehr road due to flooding from the Orange River.

Prime Minister Saara Kuukongelwa-Amadhila says the private sector will be more willing to invest in the //Kharas region if the regional political leaders work together as a team, instead of operating in isolation. She sent out this stern message to the political and administrative leadership during her recent two-day visit, engaging them to assess and discuss government projects in the region.

Delegates at the internal Swapo campaign event in Keetmanshoop this week said they want candidates competing for the party’s top positions to address unity, prove their leadership credentials and say how they will arrest dwindling support from the electorate.

Former principals, school board members, teachers, learners and the current educational population of Krönlein Primary School (KPS) gathered in Keetmanshoop last weekend to celebrate its half-century in existence.

He lashed out at teachers of Krönlein Primary School when delivering his speech during the educational institute’s50th anniversary last Friday in Keetmanshoop.

Two more Keetmanshoop residents paid with their lives within four hours earlier this week in violent, stabbing incidents.
