By Kuvee Kangueehi WINDHOEK Black Africa FC on Friday evening gave archrivals Orlando Pirates FC a footballing lesson when they beat them 5-0 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in a Namibia Premier League match. The Lively Lions were simply head and shoulders above Pirates and controlled the game from the first minute until the end. Although the match was not a cup final it left hundreds of Pirates supporters disappointed as they helplessly looked on while Black Africa humiliated their team. Black Africa with their passing game was the superior side and it came as no surprise when they took the lead at the end of the first half. Black Africa was slowly building its attack from the back with great passing skill. The strategy suited perfectly with the wide Sam Nujoma pitch and created huge acres of space for the creative midfielder Lollo Goraseb to control the game. The stocky midfielder showed why he is still one of the best midfielders in the country with a star performance, which delighted hundreds of Black Africa supporters and neutral fans. It was a Goraseb exhibition as he showed off some of his breath-taking skills. Leading by a single goal at halftime, an Orlando Pirates comeback was very much on the cards but Black Africa had other ideas. A few minutes into the second half Kinda increased the Black Africa lead and gave them a two-goal cushion. The goal also led to the floodgates being opened and every time Black Africa moved forward they looked likely to score. In the top-of-the log clash between Civics FC and Blue Waters, the reigning champions moved a step closer to retaining their title when they defeated Blue Waters 2-1 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Civics took the lead midway through the first half when Donally Nel put his name on the score sheet. Blue Waters came back strongly and equalized through Mekondjo Tobias. However, Civics was not going to settle for a point and William Chilifya made it 2-1 at halftime. The second half was exciting but failed to produce any goals and the match ended with the 2-1 score line. The result leaves Civics still leading the log with 26 points after eleven matches. Blue Waters are second on the log with twenty points after eleven matches as well.
