Unam suffered their second successive league defeat within a space of 24 hours, going down 2-1 against newcomers Young Chiefs while Flamingoes dusted themselves off from Saturday’s thrashing at the hands of Gunners to beat Citizens 1-0.

League returnees Rundu Chiefs collected much-needed maximum points via a narrow 2-1 triumph over Unam. United Stars caused the biggest upset in round 16 when the Rundu outfit saw off visiting FNB Orlando Pirates 4-2.

The tie between Tura Magic and league rookies Young Chiefs ended in another dull goalless stalemate for the Magicians. Mighty Gunners easily waltzed past struggling Flamingoes 3-1. Civics edged past relegation certainties Julinho Sporting 2-1 to complete the proceedings of day one of the second round.
