Windhoek
Fitness fanatics and fun-loving individuals keen on getting involved in welfare activities are invited to enter teams of four in the 2015 Annual Bank Windhoek Corporate Challenge Relay in aid of welfare.
The relay is slated for Saturday, July 25, at the Trustco United Sport Club field in Olympia, Windhoek. Companies, schools, government institutions, NGOs and individual groups can enter teams of four members to compete in the men’s, women’s, mixed and school categories.
The aim of the relay is to raise funds for welfare organisations and to encourage teamwork and a healthy lifestyle. Riaan van Rooyen, Head: Corporate Communication and Social Investment at Bank Windhoek, has encouraged those that want to have fun or show their support towards welfare to enter their teams.
“There will be hospitality sites where teams can socialise with team members and other companies and individuals.” He also urged team members to bring along their children, as there will be kiddies entertainment during the day. Performances will also take place after the prize-giving ceremony. Closing date for entries is July 13, 2015.
The relay consists of a 20km walk or run with each team member to walk or run for 5km, on a route that winds its way around the Trustco United Sport Club field.
Entry fee is N$400 for corporate companies, government institutions, NGOs and individual groups and N$200 for school teams. All proceeds will go towards identified welfare organisations.
All participants will receive medals, while the winners in the different categories will receive a gold or silver medal. Entry forms are available at all Bank Windhoek branches or can be downloaded from the Bank Windhoek website at www.bankwindhoek.com.na.
