Bank Windhoek opened its Oshifo branch in Ruacana, Omusati Region, to the public yesterday.
With the opening of its Oshifo branch, Bank Windhoek is the first bank to open a full service commercial branch in the town. Bank Windhoek Oshifo is the bank’s 55th branch in Namibia, making it the bank with the biggest footprint in the country. Bank Windhoek Oshifo branch is located in the Oshifo Shopping Centre and is the bank’s 19th branch for the northern region and ninth for the far northern region.

The Oshifo branch is a sub-branch of Bank Windhoek Oshakati and will bring banking to the Oshifo and Ruacana communities. “Being a uniquely Namibian bank, we identified Oshifo as an ideal location where banking services are required. The new branch will have a full staff complement to serve the Oshifo and Ruacana clients,” says Bryan Scott, regional manager in the north at Bank Windhoek’s retail banking services.

“With them they bring a wealth of experience and are dedicated to Bank Windhoek’s vision and values of teamwork, excellence, learning, passion, integrity and innovation. The opening of Bank Windhoek Oshifo, also reaffirms our commitment to bring banking to the people and improve access to banking in the rural areas,” Scott says.

“Our clients in Oshifo will experience our service values of friendliness, helpfulness, empathy, professionalism, competency and efficiency, which remain core to Bank Windhoek’s success. “By keeping our roots firmly grounded in what we know best – our country and its people – our commitment towards building relationships within the communities we operate in, remains a key focus of our organisation and is made tangible through various socio-economic and consumer education initiatives. We look forward to also become involved in the local community of Oshifo,” Scott concluded.
