For its empathy project, Bank Windhoek’s Lüderitz Service Centre recently donated essential needs and cleaning materials to four schools.

These are the Marmer Primary School, Diaz Primary School, Helene Van Rhijn Primary School and Nautilus Primary School.

The team said it was fulfilling working with others to bring joy to the pupils at the different schools. The school principals extended their immense gratitude and appreciation to Bank Windhoek, saying the project’s assistance benefited hundreds of learners in their community.

The Bank Windhoek Empathy Project is a bank-wide annual initiative which provides branches and departments with funding to support community projects of their choice.

“As a connector of positive change, Bank Windhoek believes that every staff member plays a vital role in uplifting the community in which they operate. It is how we entrench our social footprint as responsible corporate citizens,” said Bank Windhoek’s Head of Stakeholder Engagement, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sponsorships, Bronwyn Moody.

The Bank’s Empathy Project’s theme for 2023 focused on education, with a budget of nearly N$500 000 in donations.

Sixty-eight schools and early childhood development centres nationwide received stationery, uniforms, gardening tools and renovations through this project, which also supported orphanages, children with special needs, and health centres.
