Bank Windhoek is in the final stages of construction of its Oshifo branch in Ruacana, in the Omusati Region. This branch will make Bank Windhoek the first bank to open a fully-fledged service branch in Oshifo.

The construction of Bank Windhoek’s Oshifo branch is expected to be completed at the end of October 2015.
Bank Windhoek Oshifo branch will be located in the Oshifo Shopping Centre.

Bank Windhoek will have 55 branches countrywide after the Oshifo branch opens its doors to the public, making it the bank with the biggest footprint in Namibia.

The Oshifo branch will offer full banking services to the Oshifo and Ruacana communities and be a sub-branch of Bank Windhoek Oshakati.

“In an ongoing effort to meet our mandate and bring financial services to all Namibians, it was decided to construct a full-service branch in Oshifo. Being pro-active and listening to our clients’ needs is imperative to us as a Namibian bank,” said Chris Matthee, Executive Officer: Retail Banking Services.

According to Matthee, the modern Bank Windhoek Oshifo branch will bring convenient retail banking to Ruacana and surrounding areas and create meaningful employment opportunities.

“Bank Windhoek remains committed to give our clients the best advice on using their bank accounts as efficiently and effectively as possible. As the financial partner of our clients, our range of consumer education initiatives are therefore aimed at empowering our clients and the Namibian public with knowledge, enabling them to make more informed decisions about their finances and increasing their financial literacy,” Matthee said.

“It is with this aim and our dedication to growing the local economy that we are excited about the new branch in Oshifo, Ruacana,” Matthee said.
