WINDHOEK
Bank Windhoek recently announced the opening of a new community branch in Nkurenkuru.
In a press release, Bank Windhoek said the branch would offer a comprehensive range of banking products and services to the community of Nkurenkuru.
“The establishment of the first permanent banking service in this community is tangible proof of Bank Windhoek’s commitment towards economic development,” James Hill, Managing Director of Bank Windhoek, said.
Bank Windhoek says its decision to extend its branch network to Nkurenkuru followed months of intensive research and feasibility studies.
The bank described Nkurenkuru as the gateway to the Ohangwena Region as well as linking Namibia to Angola via the Katwitwi Border Post.
Currently the major economic activities are mostly concentrated around livestock farming and the retail sector.
With the opening of this new community branch, Bank Windhoek hoped it would create more opportunities in other areas of economic activity.
“The development of the Mpungu Constituency, being the sixth most populous constituency in the Kavango Region, and a loyal client base, were key drivers of our decision to establish a branch there.
“We are confident that the community of Nkurenkuru will support our branch and ensure that the branch will grow to the advantage of the whole community.
“Banking is all about building sound relationships and partnerships and therefore we truly believe that together we do better,” Andr???_?_’???_?’???_?
