Windhoek
Bank Windhoek recently announced its new fee structure effective from July 01, 2015. The bank says the key driver in the annual review of its fees is to ensure that customers always get value for money when it comes to banking costs.
The bank recently received enquiries on its official Facebook page from clients who do not understand their banking fees and charges.
Bokkie Cloete, Manager: Business Development (Traditional Banking Channels) at Bank Windhoek encouraged clients to familiarise themselves with the new fees and charges by visiting their nearest Bank Windhoek branch or downloading the new fees and charges brochure from the Bank Windhoek website. “The brochure is also available for clients at the enquiry counters at all 53 Bank Windhoek branches and agencies nationwide. A notice with the new fees and charges is also displayed in the banking halls,” said Bokkie.
“If you however want more information on the fees specific to your accounts, the sales staff are ready to assist you to understand the fees and charges in detail. At Bank Windhoek, we are fully committed to the principle of transparency and we encourage clients to exercise their right to full access to information, provided it does not infringe upon the rights of other clients as stipulated in our Customer Service Charter,” Bokkie added.
Bank Windhoek also encourages clients to make use of electronic banking services to cut their banking fees. In an attempt to make these services more accessible to all customers and enable them to bank at their own convenience, Bank Windhoek has slashed monthly internet banking subscription fees by almost 40% for individuals and businesses. Customers can still expect 24-hour telephone support for this channel, seven days a week. In addition to this, fixed pricing per transaction has been introduced to simplify transaction fees on the internet channel and allow for easier management and reconciliation of charges.
Bank Windhoek has also further removed fees for the SMS notification, AlertMe, which was launched last year. No fees will be charged, thereby empowering customers to be constantly informed of certain activities on their transaction accounts and reduce the risk of losses due to fraudulent transactions.
