WINDHOEK- Bank Windhoek has announced the BizzKids top ten finalists for 2014 in which 22 learners will be participating in this competition.

They are Chiara Nikita Witt (10), Sean Jansen van Rensburg (10) and Megan Jansen van Rensburg (12) trading as “Loomies for Lions” from Delta Primary School, Windhoek; Twapewa-Ashihe Mungoba (12) and Twapewa Kanime (12) trading as “The Beauty Spot” from Van Rhyn Primary School, Windhoek; Violet Nghipandua (16), Veningira Tjirimuje (16), Ronell Tuneeko (16) and Ginolah Dowie (16) trading as “Ouma se soet hoek” from Windhoek Gymnasium Private school; Lia Jansen (8) and Catelynn (Catie) Weinrebe (8) trading as “YoYo Balloon Saloon” from  Windhoek Gymnasium Private School; Shana Arendorf (9) and Tamzyn Arendorf (8) trading as “Magno World” from St Pauls College, Windhoek; Anne-Leen Thorburn (8) and Minette Hough (10)  trading as “Minie-Leen” from St Pauls College, Windhoek; Eleora A !Gaoses (9) and Akina Sikeni (9) trading as “Princess Cupcakes” from Swakopmund School of Excellence; Jade Coury (14) and Cassandra Kröning (14) trading as “2 Broke Teens” from  Deutsche Höhere Privateschule (DHPS), Windhoek; Joshua J Anderson (15) and Noah J Anderson (12) trading as “Just Desserts” from Delta Secondary School, Windhoek and  John-Paul Waters (11) trading as “JPW Tomato & Atjar” from EHW Baard Primary School, Noordoewer.

Numerous applications were received from various towns across Namibia. It took the four judges a few hours to go through the applications. “It seems as if the quality of applications increases each year. This obviously makes the work of the judges harder, but at the same time it is a delight to see the innovative and creative ideas of these Kids, said Marlize Horn, Executive Officer: Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek.

Of the ten finalists who receive a stand at the Kidz Fun Fair and Family Expo, the winner will receive N$5 000 and N$5 000 for his/her school, while the second and third place winners will receive N$3 000 and N$2 000 respectively.

The Bank Windhoek Kidz Fun Fair and Family Expo will take place on October 31 and  November 1 at the Doc Jubber Hockey Fields, in Windhoek.
