Windhoek is abuzz with anticipation for the second edition of Black Society Namibia’s night of creativity scheduled for the Franco Namibia Cultural Centre tomorrow.

Patrons will be treated to a mesmerising extravaganza of performances of music, poetry, dance, comedy, fashion, and an array of stalls, promising an unforgettable experience.

The event, which has been growing in popularity, aims to entertain as well as provide a platform for artists and crafters to showcase their talents, celebrate cultural diversity, and foster a sense of community.

Shatiwa Kaliteke, the driving force behind this initiative, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, saying attendees can look forward to an evening filled with entertainment and inspiration.

He added that the stage will come alive with captivating performances from a diverse range of local artists, each presenting their unique talents and artistic expressions.

“Poets will take to the microphone to weave words into powerful narratives that touch the hearts and minds of the audience. The event promises a feast for the senses, with renowned rappers Ms Iverson and Morgan69 poised to deliver electric performances that will reverberate through the crowd. Singers Emma and Hertha Elama are set to enchant the audience with their soulful melodies, while comedian KrisK will have everyone roaring with laughter.”

Dance enthusiasts are in for a treat, as the graceful and dynamic Bupe takes to the floor to showcase a fusion of styles and cultural influences.

Kaliteke hinted at the sheer beauty of the performances, revealing that the choreography will be testament to the rich diversity found within Namibian dance.

“Comedians will also grace the stage, inducing laughter and joy throughout the event. Fashion enthusiasts will be treated to a visually stunning display of creativity, as talented designers showcase their innovative designs on the runway,” he said.

Kalitike noted that beyond the captivating performances, the event will feature an assortment of stalls.

“We are offering attendees an opportunity to explore and purchase remarkable arts and crafts. These stalls will showcase the exceptional creativity and craftsmanship of local artists, presenting a wide range of handmade products, including exquisite jewellery, captivating paintings, intricate pottery, and much more.”
