The 3 Series is available in a variety of colours to choose from. It is available in non-metallic black, alpine white and metallic mineral white, glacier silver, platinum silver, mineral grey, jatoba, black sapphire, Melbourne red, Mediterranean blue and imperial blue brilliant effect. The metallic champagne quartz, tanzanite blue, smokey topaz, citrine black, brilliant white and moonstone colours are exclusive to the BWM Individual. Under the BMW 3 Series’ long bonnet with a wide stance and short overhangs is a TwinPower Turbo engine. This engine makes the BMW 340i athlete sprint from 0 to 100km/h in only 5.1seconds, while the 340i x Drive takes just 4.9 seconds.

The new BMW 3 Series with eDrive enables you to experience hybrid of electric and fuel driving. The electric motor produces an output of 80 kW and covers up to 35 km at up to 120km/h without generating local emissions. In tandem with the 135 kW of the internal combustion engine, it takes just 6.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to100 km/h – providing a fun filled driving experience with very little fuel consumption.
Safety features in the 3 Series include unparalleled safety, airbags, adaptive suspension, Dynamic Stability Control, adaptive LD headlights as well as active cruise control.
The unparalleled safety has got the latest BMW technology. Active Protection warns the driver if it detects signs of tiredness, intervenes in critical situations and brakes the car to a standstill after an accident.
The 3 Series’ airbags are available for the driver and front passenger. They also include head and side airbags which provide strategic protection.
According to BMW, “the extremely rigid passenger cell provides the best possible passive safety in the event of a front, side or real collision.”
BMW’s adaptive suspension with variable damper controls allows the driver to choose between comfortable and dynamic suspension settings. This continuous adaption of the suspension to the driving situation also increases safety.
The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) recognises any risk of skidding and stabilises the vehicle.
Interior features of the 3 Series’ 330e luxury line include door sill finishers in aluminium with BMW lettering, seats in Dakota leather Saddle Brown with extended trims in Brown and Brown highlights and sports leather steering wheel.
Air conditioning and radio control are in Pearl Chrome detailing and chrome surrounds on the air vents with 2-zone automatic air conditioning and extended features.
Interior trim finishers in Fineline Anthracite include fine-wood trim with Pearl doors, orange or white variable Ambient light and B-pillar illumination. The vehicle’s car key is detailed with chrome.
Exterior features of the 3 Series’ 340i sports line include M Aerodynamic features package with the front apron, side skirts and rear apron with Dark Shadow metallic diffuser insert.
The Sports line come complete with BMW kidney grille featuring eight exclusively designed slots in Black high gloss, LED fog lights with an M Sport suspension also available.
It has an M logo on both sides with the tailpipe trim in Chrome high gloss.
The 3 Series 340i comes at an affordable N$751 000, while the 3 Series Saloon 330e costs N$650 000. Both vehicles come complete with a 5 years maintenance and service plan for every 100 000 kilometers. A 5 year warranty is also included for both the 340i and 330e models of the BMW 3 Series Saloon.
