Home Business Brand audit results in name change for Welwitschia

WINDHOEK – Welwitschia Nammic Insurance Brokers, a full subsidiary of Bank Holdings Limited, has changed its name to Welwitschia Insurance Brokers. “The decision to change the name was based on the results of a recent brand audit, which again affirmed the brand equity of ‘Welwitschia’ in the name of the company.

“In a subsequent effort to simplify our brand and to align it to that of our holding company, it was decided to change the name to: Welwitschia Insurance Brokers (WIB) and to launch a brand new logo to reflect the new name,” explained the Managing Director of Welwitschia Insurance Brokers, Riaan Vermeulen.

WIB has grown into one of the leading short-term insurance brokers with a branch network of 11 outlets across Namibia, bringing service to the doorsteps of current and prospective clients. Working with all the local insurers, as well as offshore insurers, the company is highly competitive in arranging the best possible insurance cover for its personal- and commercial clients.

“In a continuous effort to build on the good reputation of the company, we will strive to enhance our business operations through continuous innovation to stay abreast of the fast changing technological environment,” said Vermeulen. He added that a process has commenced to roll out new signage boards to all branches of Welwitschia Insurance Brokers and clients will see the new logo applied to all correspondence.

Vermeulen concluded: “Our strength is certainly our professional and committed staff complement, and together with our new brand, we will continue to live our brand values of Teamwork, Excellence, Learning, Passion, Integrity and Innovation to the benefit of our esteemed clients. The new name and logo of Welwitschia Insurance Brokers is the start of a new chapter in the history of the company and we look forward to build on the success of the past.”
